We will also have the great variety of quality acts that the Bear Affair is known for, so plan on hearing some great music during the 2012 Great Delta Bear Affair.

This fascinating tour is offered in the morning and again in the afternoon during the festival, make sure your car has plenty of gas, as you will be driving your own vehicle and will be away from gas stations for a little while.

Seminars

The Great Delta Bear Affair offers free seminars for festival goers. Professional storyteller, Doris Jones entertains the children with stories they can take part in. Terry Vandeventer brings his snakes for a fun and educational presentation. Since this is the Great Delta Bear Affair, there is always a seminar that concerns itself with the status of black bears. Mississippi's Blak Bear Biologist, Brad Young, will update us on black bears in Mississippi.

Chainsaw Woodcarver

Each year the city of Rolling Fork is left with a different 12 foot wooden bear carved by a chainsaw artist during the Great Delta Bear Affair. It's great fun to watch a bear being formed from a cypress tree stump by renowned Mississippi chainsaw woodcarver, Dayton Scoggins.

Games

Children will not lack for something to do at the Great Delta Bear Affair. In addition to the storyteller and snake demonstration, there are fun games to keep them busy, like the space jump, spider mountain, bungee jump, and obstacle course. Tickets must be purchased for the games.
